Sherlock/Johnlock pillowcase

So a couple weeks ago I went to an overnight camp and I thought it was a perfect oppourtunity to show off my love for the bbc television series, Sherlock. I mean, in what other circumstances can people see your pillowcase?

Materials used:
Navy coloured fabric ( you can use any color I just picked navy)
White felt fabric ( I picked felt because it is easy to work with)
Thread
Needle or sewing machine
Pins
Iron

Instructions:

1. Take the navy fabric and fold it in half.

2. Find a pillowcase you already own and lay it down on the navy fabric.

3. Mark where the pillowcase is on the fabric with fabric chalk or a pencil.

4. Cut out the fabric. This will be the pillowcase

Now for the design

5. Use a pencil and write the letters I-A-M-L-O-C-K-E-D on the white felt.

6. Now write the letters J-O-H-N on the extra navy fabric. ( you can make it say sherlocked instead of johnlocked if you prefer. I put down Johnlock because I ship johnlock ☆)

7. Draw out 4 rectangles on the white felt that will fit the letters.

8. Cut out the letters and rectangles.

9. Sew the letters J-O-H-N onto the white rectangles.

10. Take out the big peice of navy fabric you cut out earlier and fold it in half.

11. Position the letters on the fabric and pin them onto the fabric.

12. Sew the letters onto the fabric.

13. Now choose the end of the pillowcase that you will keep open and fold about 2 inches of the edge and iron it down. ( the ironing is optional but I did so it would stay there better.

14. Sew the folded part so there is a clean end and the fabric will not fray

15. Sew all the sides together and volia! Your Sherlock pillowcase is done!
